Five Cool Podcasts You Can Use With Your Students

Just a quick post that starts where the last post leaves off. This is a list of 5 podcasts (actually many more) you can use in your classroom with your students:

  1. Nasa Podcasts: Approximately 36 podcasts from NASA. There is even a Nasa “room” in iTunes (link found on site).
  2. National Geographic Podcasts: {From the website} Download the latest nature and science news, eye-opening photography, audio travel guides, classic video clips, world music coverage, and wild animal adventures with National Geographic’s free podcasts.
  3. Smithsonian Podcasts: About a dozen podcasts published peridically covering a variety of subjects.
  4. Discovery Channel Podcasts: {From the website} Subscribe to podcasts from Discovery’s family of networks. Listen to your favorite Discovery Channel series and specials, download Discovery News reports, and get behind-the-scenes interviews with your favorite Discovery hosts.
  5. Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tricks for Better Writing: {From the website} Although Grammar Girl podcasts and transcripts are copyrighted, you are free to use them in class. Please encourage your students to visit the website and subscribe to the podcast at iTunes.
