This flipchart is useful to practice getting a common denominator when adding and subtracting mixed numbers. Students should have some experience with getting a common denominator. LCM and constructing equivalent fractions are reviewed using Activotes. There is guided practice and then opportunities for students to practice on their own and the vote on their answers.
