Help with Creating Your First Flipchart -

Trainer: Angela McNeil

You've taken the INTRO training and need to turn in your flipchart assignment but don't know where to begin. OR, you just need a refresher course on how to create a flipchart for your class. THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU!!
Bring materials and resources to create an interactive flipchart lesson. Angela McNeil will help you put it all together so by the time you leave the session, if you don't have a flipchart completed...you'll be well on your way!

Interactive lessons without creating a flipchart -

Trainer: Mary Miner

This class looks at the Annotate over the Desktop feature. This feature can be used with interactive websites, programs on your computer (Excel, Word, etc), and already created Power Points, Inspiration, Kidspiration, Photo story, Google Earth, etc to teach lessons and teach students how to use different programs. Annotate over the Desktop is a feature that can become one of your best friends. Come learn how to use this little jewel that is what a microwave is to today's cooking. Useful for ALL grade levels. Bring with you some lessons that you have taught in one of these programs, even if they are in your head, so we can truly explore.

How to create a more interactive flipchart -

Trainer: Mary Miner

Have you ever seen answers magically appear on a flip? Do you know how to drag items in from the side, top or bottom? How do they click on a bullet and suddenly words appear? Would you like to make your flipcharts more interactive for your students? This workshop will help you create the magic that will draw your students into your lessons. Plus this make the "wonder" come back to your classroom.

Interactive websites and Promethean - a partnership made in heaven.

Trainer: Mary Miner

Come learn how to search for interactive websites and then how to use them in your classroom. Did you know that you can use the votes in a lesson with the interactive websites? Did you know that you can write over an interactive website while still utilizing the website as well? So many possibilities, so little time.

Action Objects -

Trainer: Mary Miner

Okay, how do they get those answers to jump back if they are not the correct answer? How did they make that earth rotate around the sun like that? This class will look at making changes in the properties to items in your flip to make them do all kinds of different actions. You can make your own hangman or jeopardy games. Make your lessons come alive with "ACTION".

Containers-

Trainer: Jamie Flint

Teachers will learn how to make and use a container. A container is an object that can hold certain words or objects while making incorrect words and objects bounce back. Teachers will also learn how to make a sticky which is used to give you the extra space on a page which will come in handy when working a long problem. Teachers should bring some material that they could be used to create a labeling, fill in the blank, matching, or classifying items activity that they could use in the classroom.

ACTIVotes-

Trainer: Jamie Flint

In this class teachers will learn different ways to use the ACTIVotes quickly and effectively. Teachers will also learn how register votes and how to assign each student an ACTIVote to make grading and assessment more easy. Teachers will also find out how to export the ACTIVote results to excel. Teachers will also learn how to make pre-prepared questions with time limits and correct answers already attached to the page. Teachers should bring at least one class’s roster and either a flipchart you are working on that needs votes or material that you can use to make some questions that you can use in your classroom.
