The evolution of the animal kingdom is explored in this flipchart. The charactristics of animals are presented and the idea of maintaining homeostasis is considered. Basic trends such as in body plans, germ layer formation, cephalization, and coelom formation show commonalities and differences in animals. At the end of this study, students are prepared to survey each of the animal phyla.
