Physics 1 Academic: Grades 11 and 12

This is the introduction to the Lab on Series and Parallel Circuits.

• Students use light bulbs, voltage source, wires and a switch to construct series and parallel circuits.
• Students observe the properties of both types of circuits.
• During the pre-lab, students understand the purpose of each part of the circuit and the safety rules they must practice during the lab experiment.

Physics 1 Academic: Grades 11 and 12

• Students compare and contrast series and parallel circuits for their properties.
• Students calculate the resistance, voltage and current in each circuit using the specific formulas for series and parallel circuits.
• Students analyze and design circuits.
