This is an 8th grade flipchart on the interdependence of living systems.  This flipchart covers Competition, Predation and Symbiosis.  There is a streaming video, and students will have opportunity for assessment using Activotes.

The student will be able to:

-interpret interactions among organisms exhibiting predation, parasitism, commensalism, and mutualism.

-compare and contrast such adaptations such as camouflage and mimicry.

This flip discusses adaptation and, in particular, the way some birds have adapted to a water habitat, be that pond, ocean, river, etc. Students are asked to look at a group of birds and compare them and decide what adaptation they might have in common. Discussion about how that adaptation might be helpful to that bird is involved. information about different birds is also provided.
