Linear Functions Ch 5 - Slope on a Graph Introduction
Posted: June 19th, 2008 by mabrye
This flipchart introduces the various classifications of slope (positive, negative, undefined, zero) and its definition. Then, it provides students a chance to practice calculating slope using lines identified in photographs.
OBJECTIVE: Given pictures on coordinate planes, students will demonstrate understanding of slope as a rate by identifying lines and then writing ratios to describe their change.
Functions #3 Ch 4 - Multiple Representations

Physics 1 Academic: Grades 11 and 12
- Students interpret graphs to explain the motion needed to generate the graph.
- Students match the type of motion to what the graph will look.
- Students analyze motion as constant and accelerated based on the slope of the graph.
