This flipchart examines the preamble and grievances in the Declaration of Independence. Students will examine the grievances and rewrite them to fit with today's world. Students will end the activity by predicting what would have happened if King George III would have listened to the colonist and tried to fix the grievances.The Growth of Political Parties

Students will examine the growth of politial parties in America. After identifying and reviewing the reasons why the Federalist and Democratic-Rebpulican parties were founded, students will decide for themselves what party they would have joined if they were alive in the late 1700's.
