Evidence for Evolution

Evidences for evolution are accumulating quickly as more research is being undertaken by evolutionary biologists. Indirect evidence such as fossils, homologous structures, biochemical and embryological similarities is discussed as well as direct evidence like the Peter Grant study of Darwin's work on Finches.

Modern Concepts of Evolution

Students will be able to explain the connection between population genetics and natural selection. This presentation demonstrates that evolution occurs at the level of the population and is directly linked to mutations and the fitness of the resulting trait with the environment.
