Equivalency Sort

Students are asked to sort decimal, percent, picture, and verbal equivalents of common fraction benchmarks. This flipchart can be used as a station or small group activity for two to five students. Addresses TEKS 6.1A&B, 6.3B, and 7.1A&B. The first page contains decimal and percent equivalents for one-third and two-thirds and is only appropriate for 7th or 8th grade and 6th grade pre-AP. The second page is identical, except that it does not have those repeating decimal values and can be used for 6th grade academic students. Created by Michelle Fontenot

Modeling Decimal Division

Designed to address TEKS 7.2A, specifically modeling decimal division with positive decimal dividends between zero and two. Examples with decimal and whole number divisors are included.
