This flipchart follows 1st grade Social Studies Home Sweet Home unit about Texas. It includes information, identifies state symbols and what and why they represent. There are different interactive activities for guided and independent learning. There are also questions that utilize the ACTIVoters and oral or written higher level thinking. This flip chart will take at least 4-5 lessons.

This flipchart is an indepth look at the three parts of the water cycle. It uses videos as well as interactive pages to discuss the topic and to check for understanding. There is some discussion of different types of clouds as well. This is best for 2 - 5 grade.
Water Birds - how some birds adapt to water habitats

This flip discusses adaptation and, in particular, the way some birds have adapted to a water habitat, be that pond, ocean, river, etc. Students are asked to look at a group of birds and compare them and decide what adaptation they might have in common. Discussion about how that adaptation might be helpful to that bird is involved. information about different birds is also provided.
