This lesson was written for 6th grade World Studies. This lesson is a social studies skill builder that asks students clues about different physical features in Africa. When students find the answers to the clues, they can see a photograph of the physical feature and draw it in on a map.

This lesson is a quick unit focus to allow students to start thinking about the geographic diversity of Africa.

Students will use their atlases in order to answer questions about different parts of Africa. The atlas that was used to make this is the Nystrom Student World Atlas . If your atlas doesn't show all of these topics, create new ones to accomodate your atlases.

 The flipchart ends with a quick true/false activote session to review what they've learned.
