Ch 5 AP Chemistry: Gas

This is Chapter 5 in AP Chemistry. Students will learn about the properties of gases, the units of gas pressure, Boyle's, Charles', Gay Lussac's, Combined, Avogadro's, Ideal, Dalton's, and Graham's law. There is a set of notes that can be downloaded that students can use to solve the problems and follow along.

Ch 4 AP Chemistry: Types of reactions

This is Ch 4 in AP Chemistry. This chapter needs to be supplemented now or sometime during the year with all of the rules for types of reactions. There is a pre-AP flipchart that covers most of these. In Chapter 4, students learn about Molarity, dilutions, solubility rules, electrolytes, oxidation numbers, and redox reactions. There is a note packet that can be downloaded that allows students to follow along and solve the problems.

Ch 3.1-3.5 AP Chemistry: Moles, % Composition, and Empirical Formulas

This is an AP chemistry flipchart that covers Chapter 3.1-3.5. This flipchart should take 1-2 days to complete. Ch 3.1-3.5 covers calculating average atomic mass, calculating the mole, % composition, empirical and molecular formulas. There is a note packet that can be downloaded also that students can use to follow along and solve the problems. The teacher can use ACTIVexpressions on the many open ended questions, you can just send students to the board to solve the problem, or both.
