Representations of Data

This lesson is 3-5 in the HRW Course 3 textbook. The purpose of this lesson is for students to make sure they can convert any data from tables to equations to graphs and in any order.

Materials for each student:
graph paper
straight edge
colored pencils (optional)
create a worksheet page with grids of 10 X 10 (optional)

 

Algebraic Reasoning with M&Ms

Students will practice algebraic reasoning with M&Ms by extending patterns, creating multiple representations of data, and formulating equations from problem situations.

This chart is used to review different problem solving strategies during the week. The reveal tool is used to hide the problems while reading the SBPSM steps. The pen is used to bracket, circle, and underline while reading the problem. Activotes are used to register answers.
