This flipchart examines the preamble and grievances in the Declaration of Independence. Students will examine the grievances and rewrite them to fit with today's world. Students will end the activity by predicting what would have happened if King George III would have listened to the colonist and tried to fix the grievances.Top Five Dates

This flipchart allows students to use higher order thinking skills in order to figure out the sequence of the five major dates (1607, 1776, 1787, 1803, and 1861-1865) that they must know. This flipchart can be used to introduce the five major dates or as a review.
