This flipchart answers the question “Why does the state of Texas make 8th grade students study US History?” Students will examine the role of education in preserving one’s freedom. This flipchart also allows students to examine and evaluate a “perfect” country and an “imperfect” country. This flipchart was designed to introduce students to 8th Grade US History but can be also used in conjunction with the Bill of Rights or the Constitution.
