This is part 4 of 4 in the unit of bonding in chemistry. In this lesson students will learn what it means to have polar and non-polar bonds. Students will also be able to tell if a entire compound is polar or non-polar based on the structure of the molecule.

This is the third part of the bonding unit in chemistry. Students will learn about the VSEPR theroy and using this information be able to predict the shapes of molecules and reason the bond angles found in these molecules. There is a short video embedded in the flipchart about the VSEPR theory.

In this chemistry lesson, students will learn the characteristics of a covalent bond. They will also be able to count how many valance electrons a covalent compound has and how to draw the lewis dot structures.
